William J Mackey peacefully passed away surrounded by his family at his home on Tuesday, June 25, 2013.
He was born on September 16, 1942 in Kenilworth, Utah to Eugene Mackey and Julia Ruth Chidester Mackey. He married Marilyn Bland on September 10, 1965 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Bill enjoyed sharing his talents and hobbies which includes playing pool, gold prospecting, camping, fishing, hunting, and all outdoor activities. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn, of Marion, Utah. Sons: Robert (Heather) Jensen, of Firth, Idaho; Eddie (Dawn) Mackey of West Jordan, Utah; William “Bill” (Irene) Mackey of Eagle Mountain, Utah and a daughter Wendy (Tracy) Evans of Marion, Utah.
Brothers: Pat (Vicky) Mackey of Billingham, Washington; Lanny Mackey of Olympia, Washington; Sisters: Arlene of Apple Valley, Utah; and Julie (Steve) Kirkwood of W. Olympia, Washington. Also 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Julia and one brother Terence.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Kamas LDS Stake Center in Marion, Utah. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment in the Marion Utah Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home – Kamas.
