Wendy K Fritzel, 68, passed away peacefully at her home February 22, 2020 with her daughters, granddaughters, sister and great grandson by her side.
She was born in Ogden, Utah to Evaline Keyes and Bud Edison Lee. They moved to Evanston in 1967 where she met the love of her life, her soulmate of 50 years, Tony Fritzel after a squirt gun water fight. They were married on December 20, 1969.
She loved spending time with her family. She was the neighborhood mom, took in many of her children’s friends. She worked side by side with Tony at T & W Auto (established in 1983) as a woman mechanic, secretary and owned another business, Wendy’s Tax Service (established in 1980).
She enjoyed camping, traveling, collecting dolls, owls, baking, sewing and so much more. She was a jack of all trades. She loved helping any and every one she came across in need. She’d give the shirt off her back.
Wendy is survived by her 3 daughters, Terresa (George) Cook, Toni Fritzel (Lon Evans) and Angela (Brett) Vohs along with her 7 bonus children, Wendy Kay, Rhonda, Robin, Pauline, Mike, Don and Cindy Jo. She has 2 brothers, Harry and Jesse and 5 sisters, Evaline, Louisa, Pixie, Trixie and Shirley.
She is preceded in death by her soulmate, Tony Fritzel of 50 years; a daughter, Jerri Moak; a bonus son, Russ; her parents, brothers and a great grandson.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and clients.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fritzel family to offset medical expenses.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Aspen Church 40 Agape Way, Evanston.
