Wendell “Windy” Wilde passed away December 17, 2015 in the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 21, 1934 to Sam B. and Beth (Hall) Wilde in Kamas, Utah. He was second to a brother and two sisters. Windy loved growing up on the ranch, working with his father, and working in his shop.
He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was advance to the rank of Sargent First Class. He was very proud of his military service.
He married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Jeen Simpson on June 24, 1953. They had five children.
Windy worked in the logging and trucking industries.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, and children: Trev (Loni) Wilde, Pleasant View; Tyree (Jacki) Wilde, Portland, Or; and Trina (Richard) Vidrine, Francis. Also five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Sisters: Janice (Hoyt) Peterson, Boise, ID and Chelta (Don) Allred of Midway, Utah and Palm Springs, CA.
He is preceded in death by twin infant daughters, Tamie & Tonya, his parents, a brother, Rex Lee, and grandparents.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 12 noon in the Oakley LDS Ward Chapel. Viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment with military honors will be in the Stevens Cemetery in Oakley, Utah under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
