Vonda Berrier

April 20, 1929 — May 3, 2013

Vonda Bird Davidson Berrier, Age 84 passed away peacefully on May 3 ,2013 at her home with her family by her side. Our sweet mother, wife, and grandmother blessed our lives with her kindness and cheerful ways.
Vonda was born in Blackfoot Idaho on April 20th, 1929 to Curtis and Sarah Bird, she was the third of five children and lived in Junction Utah, until her family moved to Mountain View when she was 12 years old. She graduated from Mountain View High School in 1946. She married Edwin Davidson in the Logan, Utah temple on June, 1st 1948. They started their family in Bountiful, Utah with two daughters, Colleen and Susan, before moving to Fort Bridger in 1955.  Two more daughters came along, Sheri and Linda, followed by two sons, John and Jerry. Over the years there have been 57 Grandchildren and 73 Great Grandchildren added to the family.   Vonda was a great mother and wife and her family always knew that she loved them. She was a great seamstress and made lots of dresses and clothing for her children. She always had a quilt on in the living room. She loved to share her quilting and sewing talents with all of us.   Vonda served in many callings in the LDS church. Teaching her family by living an exemplary life of dedication and service to others, she always had a place in her home for anyone who needed a friend and they could always feel her love. Many times she would bake up to 18 loaves of bread a week to feed all of the family and friends that were visiting.    Vonda cared for her first husband Edwin with failing health until his passing in 1998.
Following the death of their spouses, John Berrier and Vonda, while comforting each other found so much joy in being together they decided to get married. Vonda married John Berrier in 2000 in the Mt Timpanogos Temple.  Vonda suffered a stroke Feb 4th, 2004 that paralyzed her right side and required full time care. We will forever be grateful to John for the Loving care he provided for her for 9 years. They loved each other and were very content just being together. On April 18, she suffered a second stroke that paralyzed her left side.  She is survived by her spouse John Lee Berrier, son John (Karla) Davidson Mendon, UT,  Daughters Colleen Platts Ecuador, Susan (Chad) Teichert Pocatello, ID, Miranda Hart (Rich) Henderson, NV, Linda (Shayne) Gilmore Evanston WY, Foster Son Bruce Richardson Sandy, UT, Step Son Michael Berrier Rock Springs, WY, Cheryl (Craig) Massey Vernal, UT
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edwin J Davidson, son Jerry Davidson, and son in law Scotty Platts.
