Virginia “Ginger” Lucille Norton passed away at her home in Mountain View, WY on Friday, May 12, 2017. She was born on November 14, 1926 in Lebanon, Nebraska to William and Maud Raburn.
Ginger spent many years as a 21 black jack dealer in Ely, Nevada and Jackpot, Nevada before moving to Mountain View, WY. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed bowling and spent many years keeping bowling scores for league play in Bridger Valley. She enjoyed sewing, camping, fishing, and selling Jafra Cosmetics.
Ginger is survived by her children Gary Carraway of Boise, Idaho; Robert Carraway of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Judy Carraway of Tyler, Texas; Mike Carraway of Spring Valley, Nevada; her sister Anita McFarland of Salmon, Idaho;---Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Norton; parents William and Maud Raburn; brother Jack Raburn; brother Gene Raburn; brother Oran (Short) Raburn; and sister Bessie Bryan.
A celebration of life will take place at her home, 618 Evergreen, in Mountain View on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 11am until 2pm.
