Vickki Ann Cantrell of Mountain View, Wyoming passed away unexpectedly the morning of Jan 4
She was born in Daly City, Calif Feb. 26, 1968 to Ken and Phyllis Leach. She graduated from Soquel High School in Soquel, Calif. While continuing education she worked as a waitress in several restaurants eventually bringing her to Jamestown, Calif where she met the love of her life. Shortly after, she eloped and married him on July 26, 1991 at Balleys ( MGM Grand) in Reno Nevada. A short time later they settled in Mtn View and made it their home.
Vickki and Mike raised their daughter Tyler, with Vickki being a stay at home Mom until Tyler entered school at which time Vickki then became a substitute teacher until going to work in Aug of 2005 at the Bridger Valley Child Development Center. She earned her CDA and taught until present.
Vickki touched the lives of many children through the years as if they were her own. She had a true passion to help children begin their education.
Vickki, known as Miss Vickki was loved for her bright, energetic and bubbly personality.
Her favorite hobby was cooking, and she had a true talent. She also loved the beach, hunting, fishing, and just being a Mom to our daughter. Travel and The Cooking Channel were high on her list as well.
Any time a conversation about your best memories popped up, Vickki would always say, the 3 greatest highlights of my life are, marrying Mike, birth of Tyler, and harvesting her bull moose.
Vickki is survived by her husband and partner, Michael Cantrell, her Daughter Tyler Cantrell of Mtn View, Father Ken Leach and Wife Denise Leach of West Point, Utah, as well as her Uncle, Steve Barker of San Carlos, Calif.
Vickki is preceded by her Mother Phyllis Barker Leach
We would like to thank everyone for the unexpected, overwhelming kindness, love, and support to our family. Thank you also, to all the emergency personnel that responded in a time of need.
