Vickie Sharkey

April 22, 1946 — February 7, 2018

Vickie Lynne East Sharkey, 71, of Ogden, Utah passed away on February 7, 2018 in her home after a lifelong struggle with mental illness.

A funeral service will be held at Crandall Funeral Home on February 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Evanston City Cemetery, 526 County Rd, Evanston, WY 82930. Crandall Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements and is located at 800 Uinta Street Evanston, WY 82930.

Vickie was born in Ogden, Utah to Emmett and Jackie East in April 1946. She went to high school at Bonneville and Weber High, graduating in 1964. She went on to study at Weber State College where she enjoyed art classes. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Utah and California on and off for 10+ years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, teaching Sunday school and being a Den Mother for Cub Scouts.  She had a love of art and fashion.

Vickie is survived by her husband Gerald of Evanston, WY, her son Richard of Colorado Springs CO, her daughter Suzanne Chambliss of Sacramento CA, her two grandsons Ian and Jacob of Colorado Springs, CO, one brother and two sisters. Vickie is preceded in death by her father Emmett and her mother Jackie East.
