Verla Condos

Verla Phoebe Condos came into this world as the first born child to Walter and Phoebe Shaw on March 11, 1932, and peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on Feb 8, 2016.
Verla was a fun loving and happy go-lucky person. In her younger years she liked to crochet, but in her later years her favorite pastime was to travel with her good friend Ruth Anderson. They traveled the world! They always had fun and interesting situations wherever they went, and she loved every minute of it.
Verla married James P. Condos on Nov. 12, 1953. They had no children together, but always enjoyed the company of their friends, families and many pets (Verla loved all animals, but she loved her cat Ruffy the most.) Verla always loved being with her family, whenever possible. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and enjoyed all of her callings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Condos, her parents Walter and Phoebe Shaw, and her brother Merrill Shaw. She is survived by her siblings, Joyce (Gene) Nichols, Carlene (Rayo) Barker, Byron (Marianne) Shaw, and Russle (Linda) Shaw, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Verla was loved by all and in turn, will be missed by all who knew her.
Services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 12 noon at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston. A viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Evanston City Cemetery.
