Veda (Lee) Goodrick, 93, of Robertson, Wyoming, died Sunday, February 10, 2019, at University of Utah Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born July 29, 1925, in Devil's Slide, Utah, the daughter of Zeldon Lee and Katie Marie (Lowe) Lee.
She married Louis Goodrick on October 15, 1946. Together they raised four children: Robert, Irene, Dennis and Lola. They lived in various places in Wyoming, but settled on the family ranch in Robertson, Wyoming.
Veda worked a few jobs, but was mostly a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, canning, baking bread, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family in the mountains. She was fiercely loyal to her family, and loved (and was loved by) them all.
Survivors include her children: Robert Goodrick, Irene Steinke, Dennis Goodrick, and Lola Proctor (Kelly); two brothers: Henry Lee (Karen), Jack Lee (Shirley); four sisters: Barbara Pilkington, June Shilcox, Shirley Smith (Bert), Susie Frazier (Chuck); eight grandchildren: Nicole Dimmick, Jere Goodrick (Jennifer), Robbie Goodrick, Michelle Dyer, Brian Steinke (Darcie), John Desmond, Chelynne Hallock (Levi), Sarah Desmond; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Goodrick; long-time partner, Bill Underwood; three brothers: Orin, Johnny and Edison Lee; four sisters: Amelia Blasi, Katherine Tanner, Zella Davis and Beverly Boan.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019, at the Crandall Funeral Home, 800 Uinta Street, Evanston, Wyoming. Viewing will begin at 12:00 PM, and the service will begin at 2:00 PM.
She will be laid to rest at the Fort Bridger cemetery immediately following the service.
