Valerie Mair

Valerie May Mair "Mumps", 71 was born August 3, 1953 in Payson, Utah to Evelyn Steele and Keith Dixon. She was later adopted by David and Ruth McMonigle. She had six siblings, Nancy E. (Gary) Sharp, Billy (Sawyer) (Bamalee) Adams, Danny (Sawyer) Adams, Dale (Sawyer) Monson, Jeffery Ahlstrom and Allen McMonigle; 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

In 1972, Valerie married Steven Allen Borecky and to this marriage three children were born; Stephanie May Borecky, Aaron Keith Borecky and Kati D'Ora Borecky. This marriage dissolved and in 1996 Valerie and Jesse were married and he blessed her with three more children; Scott Lee Mair, Travis Gene (Sabrina Smith) Mair and MeLisa Sue (Chad M) Rutherford.

Valerie was a member of the LDS Church and served as Sunday school teacher for young children and a visiting teacher.

Valerie was employed with the Bridger Valley Senior Citizens. She enjoyed driving the senior bus and loved taking the many seniors to their destination.

Later she was hired by the Mountain View school district as a Bus Aide. She enjoyed getting to know the children and they loved her. She later was also a crossing guard.

Valerie and Jesse enjoyed taking rides up in the mountains and seeing how many wild animals they could see.

She loved being a mom to all six kids and the grandkids liked to call her "Mumps".

She liked the Denver Broncos and playing bingo.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, a son Aaron Keith Borecky, mother Evelyn Steele, siblings Billy, Danny, Jeffery, Allen and grandchildren, Kali and Steven.
