Tina Anne (Andrews/Wall) Smith passed away in her home on Friday April 11, 2025, due to complications with COPD. Tina was a giving soul with a huge character. She made an impression on everyone she ever met. Whether you knew her a lifetime or just mere moments, she made an impact. She wasn’t a person that was easily forgotten. Tina was known for being a genuine person who spoke from the heart. She may have come across as being a bit harsh at times, but it always came from a place of love. She was a kindhearted person who never judged anyone on where their lives may have taken them as she had faced a fair amount of trials and tribulations along her own journey of life. Yet it never mattered what darkness she was facing, she always did her very best to stay positive and try to look towards the light, all while encouraging those around her to do the same.
Tina was a caring woman who always worried more about those she loved than she did herself. She may not have had much in life but if someone she knew needed something she would go out of her way to make it happen. Even if it meant putting herself out in some way. She would rather be without herself than to see those she cared about in need. At times she may have needed it more than them. She was always quick to lend a helping hand and yet too stubborn to ask for help herself, even at times when she may have really needed it. She was always there for others in their times of tragedies and hardships. To help others any way that she could. Whether it meant a shoulder to cry on, a meal cooked, or some chores to be done, Or staying at the hospital endless nights on many occasions. Most recently with her husband Emerson during his medical hardships he's facing. All while she herself was not in good health. Not only was Tina caring for her inner circle, she simply cared for people in general. She would give a complete stranger her last dollar if she thought it would help them. She loved people and would talk to just about anyone she crossed paths with. Making friends from all walks of life along the way.
Tina had many passions in life such as art, reading, crafting, sewing, attending concerts and events or acting in plays. She loved camping, barbequing or just being outdoors in general. Tina loved to learn new things. She would say “You’re never too old to learn something new!” She attended school for various different associate's degrees and technical careers. Her most recent being her cosmetology license to do hair and nails, where she used those skills to help others in need who may not have been able to get those services otherwise.
She cherished the time she spent with her service dog Lincoln and was so proud of how well trained he is. She treated him like a child to her and that is saying a lot because most of all Tina loved her family and spending time with those she held dearest to her heart. The time she spent with her children and grandchildren was precious to her. She loved her time with her family more than anything. Her littles were the light of her life. She always made it a point to tell them how proud she was of them or that she loved them on a daily basis. She was always encouraging them and cheering them on in whatever it is they were doing. Tina lived for the moments they spent together and cherished each second, they had. She was their biggest fan and their loudest cheerleader. Family time was her favorite time. The time spent just having dinner, sharing a warm meal with the ones she loved. Being “Mamaw” was her greatest joy and brought more love into her life than she knew was possible. The time they spent was shorter than expected but it was precious and valued. The impact she made on them and the lessons she taught them will go on to the last generations. She will be missed more than words could say. Tina had a true heart of gold. She was a real diamond in the rough and her loved ones will never forget her genuine unconditional love for them and for humanity. Tina would want everyone to remember to be kind to one another but also be kind to yourself. We are all going through something, a little compassion can go a long way. In the moments when times are hard, and life seems bleak to have faith and remember to say your prayers and seek God's wisdom.
Tina is survived by her husband Emerson Smith Jr. Her children Byron Pinegar Jr, Nikki Largent (Brigg Largent (spouse), Jesse Malloy Wall and Cody Wolfe, her grandchildren MartiAnn and Olly Largent. Her brother George Andrews, sisters Dena Westenskow, Kristy Andrews and Jamie Andrews and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and too many friends to count.
She is preceded in death by her father Hubert Andrews Sr, her mother Margaret Andrews, her brothers Buddy Travis and Hubert Andrews Jr (Scooter) and her sisters Rita Collier, Lou Harter, Jeannie Mitchell and Jackie Reeder.
