Tim D Atkinson “Farmer Tim” 62 - passed away unexpectedly of heart failure on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at his home in Francis Utah.
He was born on December 19, 1953 to Frank D and Audrey Elaine (Dugdale) Atkinson in Coalville, Utah. He married Janet M Clark on September 30, 1972 in Oakley Utah and they had three children, JanaLee, Brandon, and Heidi.
Tim was a lifelong resident of the Kamas Valley and loved it dearly. He graduated in 1972 from South Summit High, he played football, wrestled and was on the Rodeo Team. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a skilled craftsman and he would make many items for friends and family with metal. He worked very hard and enjoyed working and joking around with people. He loved and supported the people in the Kamas Valley. He always liked to get together with people and have a good time. He started Farmer Tim’s Pasture Golf in 1998 where he would turn his hay fields into a Golf Course, serve lunch and have a raffle. He would then donate the money back to the community by supporting Sub for Santa, the SSHS FFA where he would purchase roses and have them delivered to the widows at Elk Meadows in Oakley for Valentine’s Day. He loved to help those in the community that he could, he had a huge heart. Dad enjoyed being a farmer he raised cattle and crops. He loved being able to grow a great crop of hay and could get it to grow where no one else could. He especially loved his grandchildren, he was always there for good advice or a sarcastic remark he will be truly missed.
Survived by his loving wife Janet, children JanaLee Marchant, Francis, Brandon (Tammie) Atkinson, Kamas, Heidi (Jess) Riches, Woodland, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Brother Roy F (Elaine) Atkinson, sisters Dolores (Kent) Mansell, Yvonne Warnick, and Nina (Ed) Clyde; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law Glen Warnick.
Visitation will be on Sunday December 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM and one hour prior to the services at the Francis Ward Building at 387 Last Frontier Road, Francis Utah. Funeral services will be held December 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Francis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted at KeyBank in Tim’s name to help with funeral expenses.
