Thelma Elizabeth Heward Davis, passed away on February 28, 2014. Thelma was born on July , 18, 1908, to her parents, Harold and Amy Heward in Almy Wyoming. She was the oldest of 9 children. She married Rudger Davis on July 29, 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rudger Davis, five sisters, Mildred Anderson, Vivian O’Hara, Luella Diston, Mary Smith , June Harris and two brothers Don Heward and Bill Heward. She was also preceded by her son in law Dale Henderson.
She is survived by her sister Pat Alexander, four children Jim (Bonnie) Davis, Jane Henderson, Carol Schneider and John (Judy) Davis. She is also survived by eight grand children, Stephen (Delynda) Henderson, Jeff (Cindy) Henderson, Brian (Stephanie) Davis, Susan (Ryan) Daniels, Erik Schneider, Marie Schneider, Amber (Rob) Boysen, Justin Kindra) Davis and three step grand children Jeanna (Brent) Martin, Garth (Sharon) Wagstaff, and Laurie Wagstaff. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 14 step grandchildren and one great great grand child. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 11.00 am at the Union Presbyterian church in Evanston, Wyoming. Interment will be at the Evanston Cemetery. A celebration for her life will be held at the Evanston Machine Shop following the services.
Thelma lived a long wonderful life and there was never a time when it wasn’t 5.00 o’clock somewhere. Mom enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of a local bridge club for over 50 years.
She was a member of the Union Presbyterian church in Evanston for 90 years. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Evanston Red Devils, The Wyoming Cowboys, Utah Jazz, Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies.
Thelma has found that elusive horseshoe in heaven.
