Ted Elmo Keyes, passed away January 27, 2016 in Evanston, Wyoming. He was born September 22, 1920 in Evanston, Wyoming to Harry E. and Elsie Sarah (Smitherst) Keyes.
On May 18, 1942 he married Katherine Jackson in Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
Ted worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for many years.
Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He worked with the Boy Scouts of America for over 75 years. He was active at the New Fork Scout Camp and had many family reunions at Sulpher Creek Reservoir. He could fix anything and enjoyed restoring Model T cars. He collected coins and stamps. He was truly a man of many talents. He also excelled at gardening and trimming trees. More than anything else he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Katherine Keyes, and children: Linda Keyes; Margaret A. (Glen) Turnbow; Elsie L. (Jay) Crompton; Ted A. (Dianne) Keyes; Andy (Ginger)Keyes; and Eddie (Lisa) Keyes. Also 38 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother Kenneth Keyes and three sisters, Evaline Geiger; Jenny A. Keeler and Louise Keyes. Also a great grand daughter, Harper C.D. Keyes.
Funeral service will be on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Ward Chapel on Oak and Elm Streets. Viewing will be on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Crandall Funeral Home.
Interment with military honors will follow in the Evanston City Cemetery.
