Taycen Birch

Our beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend Taycen Dee Birch at the age of 18 returned to his Heavenly Father on March 19, 2022.

He was born on October 6, 2003, to Allen Birch and Holly Pedersen.

Taycen was a senior at South Summit High School where he played football and competed in Wrestling. He was part of the team as a freshman where they won the State Championship in football. He also placed 6th at Junior High State. He participated in other sports such as soccer and baseball.

He loved to ride and race dirt bikes with his family in the desert and competed in many races.  He could ride endless wheelies and was always in competition with anyone willing to say they could do better or go further. Even though he was an amazing rider and loved to be on his dirt bike his passion was to follow his dad’s footsteps and become a Lineman.

Taycen loved hunting and being in the outdoors. His heart and soul were in the mountains. He was able to harvest some amazing bucks and build many memories with lifelong friends. There wasn’t a time he wasn’t hiking looking for sheds and waiting for the moment to grab a set or have the opportunity to do the first “pick up”.

He loved his Heavenly Father. He was able to attend trek. Taycen was a boy scout and earned many badges. It came easy to him. He learned so much being the right-hand man to many families and friends that taught him so much.  He had a heart of Gold in serving others from yardwork to escorting the elderly up the high school bleachers. He was always lending a hand to those in need. Taycen was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was recently able to receive the priesthood by his dad and turn around and help administer the priesthood to his brothers.

Taycen loved his family with his whole heart. He was so blessed to have two Moms who loved him beyond measure. Taycen was his dad’s right-hand man and was always willing to go the extra mile to be just like him. He was the best big brother and to say he was their idol is an understatement. He loved supporting his siblings and parents in all they were involved in. There were many wrestling matches, wedgies given and slug bugs with his siblings but most of all loves, hugs, and “I love you’s” with his whole family.

Taycen was such a good friend and making friends came easy. He has endless number of friends scattered all over. There wasn’t a town we didn’t go through that he wasn’t talking about someone he knew.  He believed in brotherhoods and many of his friends became more like brothers.  They had a bond that could not be broken.

He is survived by his parents: Allen (Kamie) Birch, Holly Jo Pedersen; his sisters, Falyn and Shayden Birch; and his brothers. Tryan Birch, Traxten Birch, and Jagger James Freeman. He will also be missed by his grandparents: Marcia Birch, Brooke Pedersen (Nannie), Doug Anderson, Mark and Leslie Bundy.

Taycen is preceded by his grandfathers: Allen Ray Birch, Rex Melvin “Poppy” Pedersen Jr. and a Cousin Cody Ray Crook.

Funeral service will be at the Kamas L.D.S. Stake Center in Marion, Utah on Tuesday March 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.

Friends and family will gather at the church on Monday evening March 28, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral services. Graveside services will be at the Heber City Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
