Sydney Gregory

“We are perfect souls caught in painful bodies in an imperfect world.” Sydney Lorraine Gregory passed away early in the morning of December 16, 2020 in her home surrounded by her family.

Sydney was born on December 3rd, 1956 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to John and Carole (Meeks) Brisko. She graduated from Mountain View High School, class of 1975. Shortly after graduating she married a cowboy from Lonetree. Sydney married Dean Clinton Gregory on July 18, 1975. Sydney worked for several years in the lunch room at the Mountain View Schools. She loved to tease the kids and play matchmaker at the high school. She spent all her free time sewing, painting, crafting and cooking. Her kids and grandkids were her top priority and greatest joy.

She spent summers in her yard and flower garden and winters watching Perry Mason. The end of Syd’s life wasn’t easy, but she endured it with grace. Her life was made so much richer by Dean who served her daily and made every effort to make her life comfortable. Sydney was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Clay Brisko and Kennie Brisko.

She is survived by her husband, 4 children and 14 grandchildren. Ashley (Curt) Bindle of Fort Bridger, Wyoming and their children Holden, Madison, Brooke and Colter. Travis (Heidi) Gregory of Lyman, Wyoming and their children; Boe, Sam, Max and Scottie. Shelby (Dustin) Shaw of Green River, Wyoming and their children; Kamryn, Kaycee and Seth. Rusty (Kathy) Gregory of Spanish Fork, Utah and their children; Asher, Brigham and Bia. One sister Lynnda (Scott) Mandros of Green River, Wyoming and brother, Barry (Amanda) Brisko of Taos, New Mexico.

Sydney was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. “I’m still the same ol me that I was 35 years ago. Maybe a little bit wiser and a whole lot nicer. My best friend and sweetheart is still Dean and we love to spend as much time together as we can. We have 14 awesome grandkids. Life is wonderful!!”
