Steve Lopez

Our loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Steve Lopez of Lyman, Wyoming passed away on April 10, 2015, in Salt Lake City Utah. He was born on September 22, 1945 in Rock Springs Wyoming to Vidal “Bill” and Eloisa (Maestas) Lopez. He married his loving wife of 29 years Debbie Rappleye on April 13, 1986.
Steve enjoyed anything outdoors like hunting, fishing, camping, family reunions, dances, demolishing things, mechanical work, construction, and spending countless hours visiting friends and neighbors.
Steve is survived by his wife Debbie, daughters Shelley Lopez, Ashley Lopez and Choral Lopez all of Lyman, sons Steve Lopez of Colorado, John Lopez of Lyman, Chris (Kim) Lopez of Evanston, Dwayne Hoopes, Jamie (Cheryl) Hoopes, Rickie (Stacey) Hoopes and Jeffrey J Hoopes all of Lyman, brother Ermino “Minnie” Lopez of Lyman, sisters Viola (Pachi) Espinoza of Green River, Tillie Wright of Layton, UT, Eliria Warburton of Sunset, UT and 23 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Jeremy Hoopes, brother Frank Roy Lopez and sisters Elsie Mattingly and Josephine Martinez.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday April 20, 2015 at 10:00 am at Crandall Funeral Home located at 800 Uinta Street, Evanston, WY.   Services will be followed by a luncheon for friends and family at Bear River Greenway located at 275 Saddle Ridge Road, Evanston, WY.
