Stephen, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in Murray, UT, with his loving family by his side. Born to Charles (Farns) McDaniel and Edra Wilkinson in Alpine, UT. He married the love of his life Eunice Gilbert on November 22, 1958 in Riverton, UT.
Stephen started his working career at the young age of 11, working on dry farms. He attended American Fork High School and enjoyed the sports of Football and Track. Among the numerous jobs Stephen held through his teenage years, one that he always mentions is working in Skull Valley during the summer of ’52, ’53, and ’54. Stephen’s fulltime working career started with U&I Sugar Factory in West Jordan, UT and Moses Lake, WA for 25 years until the factory closed. Then he got a job in Ione, WA working for the lumber industry for 3 years until the mill closed down. His last career moved him to Lyman, WY working at Solvay Minerals for 19 years until he retired. Stephen loved the outdoors. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, and flying his remote controlled airplanes. Most of all he loved his family.

Stephen is survived by his wife Eunice; children Tracie Yearout, Stan (Sandy), Gilbert, Wyatt (Janel), and Deann (Chuck) Murillo; sister Bonnie (Roy) Hatch; 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and Kota (loving dog). He was preceded in death by his father and mother and brother Jerry.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 4 pm at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, WY, with a viewing held on hour prior to services. As per his wishes, cremation will follow services.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 4 pm at the LDS Chapel located at 3200 W. 7639 S., West Jordan, Utah.
