Spencer Lyle Skillin
Oct. 27, 1966 - May 26, 2016
Spencer went home to his Heavenly Father Thurs. May 26th, after a short, but
fierce battle with cancer. He was born in Chico, CA, Oct. 27, 1966, the youngest of 4
boys. The family was complete when they later added a sister. When he was 4 the
family moved to Mtn. View, WY where his mother had been raised. He graduated
high School, and married Carrie Owens. The couple had two sons, Spencer David, and
Austin Grant. They later divorced.
He married Laural Ann (Lafevers) Marquis June 12, 2000. With that union he
became the Father to two more children, Benjamin Greer and Kathrine Marie Marquis
He worked alongside his wife, Laural, to build strong bonds in their blended family.
He was a wonderful Father! He was later blessed to be the Grandfather to nine
Grandkids, Dewie, Kaden, Wyatt, and Jaxon Marquis. Baylee, Taylor, and Maci
Broulette, and Sidney and Alice Brandt. He loved his Family and told them every time
he talked with them. He was always telling others how proud he was of their
accomplishments, and achievements Family meant EVERYTHING!
.He was a man you could depend on. The kind that would get in the car and rush
to help anyone who ask. His quirky humor, quiet way and gentle heart endeared him
to those who were fortunate to know him. He was an avid fisherman. He also loved
4-wheeling and spending time in the mountains. He was a member of the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the Savior, and was a good example to
others. He enjoyed teaching Primary at church, and loved the kids he taught.
Spencer leaves behind his wife, Laural Ann Skillin, of Mtn View. He also leaves his
children: Benjamin (Cinda) Marquis, of Williston, N. Dakota. Kathrine (Mark) Brandt,
