Spencer Glen Rae of Lyman, Wyoming returned to his heavenly home April 3rd near Hebron, North Dakota.
He is the son of Roger Glen Rae and Susan Walker Rae of Bonney Lake, WA. Born in Ogden, Utah he grew up in Bonney Lake. After graduating from Sumner High School and Pierce College, he joined the United States Marine Corp, then took a deferment from the Marines to serve a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Richmond Virginia.
Spencer was engaged to be married to Sarah Pierson on May 26th. They were planning to move to Alaska to work and enjoy the great outdoors which they have a great love for. Spencer also enjoyed hunting, motorcycles, trucks, and guns. He had a very adventurous spirit and love to try new things. He loved working on his Grandpa’s ranch in Lyman. He had a tender spot in his heart for all of his grandparents and always made a point of checking in on them to make sure they were okay. He earned the Eagle rank in the Boy Scouts of America and was a proud member of the NRA. He loved his country and was very patriotic from the time he was a small boy. He was always willing and able to help whenever anyone had a need. He had a heart of gold and will be sorely missed by all.
Spencer is preceded in death by his grandfather Darrell H. Rae of Mountain View. He is survived by his fiancée Sarah Pierson of Albany, New York, parents Roger G. and Susan J. Rae of Bonney Lake, WA, brothers Michael (Jennifer) of Provo, UT, Brian of Laie, HI, Nathan (Courtney) of Chandler, AZ, Christopher of Rexburg, ID, Cody serving an LDS mission in Salt Lake City South mission, Alex of Bonney Lake, WA. Grandparents, Yvonne .Rae of Mountain View, WY and Ramon and Verla Walker of Lyman, WY.
Funeral services will be held Saturday April 13th at the Lyman LDS chapel at 11 AM. Friends may greet family one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Fort Bridger Cemetery in Fort Bridger, WY.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday April 16th at the Bonney Lake LDS chapel (11214 214th Ave E. Bonney Lake, WA) at 7:00 PM.
