Sonja Darlene Barton, 74 years, passed away Wednesday, February, 21, 2018 at the Evanston Regional Hospital in Evasnton, WY.
She was born in Maxbass, North Dakota October 13, 1943 to Lester and Hazel Olene Kittleson Halstead.
You could normally find Sonja on her couch watching movies and television. It was one of her favorite things that she enjoyed. She also liked eagle figurines and she loved her family tremendously. She was a simple natured woman and was of the Lutheran faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David F. Barton; a brother, Roger Halstead; a sister, Barbara Halstead and her parents.
She is survived by her children, Chris Derosier of Monticello, MN; Devey (Tim) Dahlheimer of St. Cloud, MN; Carl (Amanda) Barton of Ohio; Lori (Josh) Dickinson of Rock Springs, WY and Jennie Barton of Mountain View, WY.; a brother, Ronny Halstead and three sisters, Tammy Halstead, Sharon Halstead and Linda Halstead; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday February 24, 2018 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Please call Lori Dickinson (307-389-0808) for details.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
