Sidney (Sid) Hysell,

Sidney (Sid) Oren Hysell, age 77, passed away on March 30, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada, after a lengthy illness, with his family by his side.

Sid was born on July 1, 1933 to Henry Hysell and Stella Taylor Hysell in Millburne, Wyoming. He married Karma Graham on July 16, 1954 in Mountain View, Wy. They were blessed with two children, Philip of Green River, WY.; and Michele of Meridian, Idaho. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Logan Temple on January 25, 1955.

Sid served two years in the U.S. Army spending most of that time at Fort Bragg, North Carolina with his wife by his side. He worked for the Wyoming State Highway Department for thirty six years surveying and as an project inspector retiring in 1991. After his wife retired they spent the winters in Overton, Nevada and made many many very good friends.

Sid was an avid hunter keeping elk, deer and moose on his family's table for many years. He also liked boating and fishing. He loved his horses and dogs and was a pretty fair hand with his lariat. For years he loved to do bead work making many dream catchers and giving them away to his friends. He was honored to have participated in two of the Hootenannies with his cowboy poetry in Mesquite, Nevada.

He is survived by his “Bride” of fifty six years, Karma Hysell, a son, Philip, a daughter, Michele. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Philicia (Jeremimah) Peterson and three great grandchildren, Sadie, Golden and Reagan of Kuna, Idaho; two brothers, Marion (Carol) Hysell, of Bridgeport, CA.; Neil (Janet) Hysell, of Meadview, AZ.; and a sister, Montai Adams, of Apachae Junction, AZ.; He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Crandall Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. Until 8:00 P.M. And also one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, At the Evanston South Stake Center, 632 Twin Ridge Avenue, Evanston, WY. Interment will follow services at the Fort Bridger Cemetery, Fort Bridger, WY.
