Shirley Ann Hicken passed away peacefully November 5, 2015 in Heber City, Utah.
She was born on October 30, 1940 to William Jessop and Selma Laurine (Larsen) Stokes in Coalville, UT.
She married Alan Clair Hicken April 27, 1962 in Coalville, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Shirley enjoyed cooking for her family, making gingerbred houses, doing crafts, swimming, grandchildren, and people.
She is survived by her children: Miles (Laura) Hicken, of Marion, Utah; Craig (Brenda) Hicken; of Kamas, Utah and Cynthia Jones of Pleasant Grove, Utah, a brother: Robert L. Stokes of Coalville, Utah; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother: Billy Stokes and a grandson, Neil. The family would like to express their gratitude to the many caregivers at Rocky Mountain Care and Encompass Hospice.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 in the Coalville LDS Stake Center at 11:00 a.m.
Viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday one hour prior to the funeral.
Interment will follow in the Coalville Cemetery.
