Shirley Cox

September 19, 1923 — June 8, 2013

Shirley D. Cox passed away June 8, 2013 at Evanston Regional Hospital.  He was born September 19, 1923 in Woodruff, Utah to Leonard Henry and Maude Dean Cox.
Shirl was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and served in World War ll.  During his life he worked for Ellingford Bros. and P & M Mining as a mechanic.  He married the love of his life, Luella Mae Moore on June 8, 1947.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Russ (Vicki), Steve (Verna), Joe (Kim), John (Jean), and Shirlene (LuAnn); eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; a sister Ivy, and a brother Bob.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son (leonard); sisters Doris, Ellen, Delora; brothers Melvin (Med), Leonard D, Wilfred LeRoy (Chris).
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Elm Street LDS Ward Chapel.  A Viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 pm at Crandall Funeral Home, as well as one hour prior to services on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Uinta County Senior Citizen Center.
