Sheila Louise (Heffley) Dean passed away in Salt Lake City, UT on Thursday, September 10, 2015. She was born September 27, 1948 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Charles F. and Mabel E. (Hasselbring) Heffley.
Sheila married Edward P. Dean in October of 1998 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in April of 2013. As a recent convert since May of 2011, Sheila loved going to church and learning about the gospel. She was currently serving a mission with her husband Ed. She loved being outdoors fishing and camping, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Sheila is survived by her husband Ed Dean; daughter Rebecca “Becky” (Tony) Lovato and their children Angela “Angie” Bateman, Kenyon A. “Scooby Doo” Lovato and Brooklyn R. “Pooh Bear” Lovato; daughter Kathy Dean Kuntz and her fiancé Eldon Chamberlain and their children Richard “Titcher” Kuntz Jr. She is also survived by her brothers Chuck Heffley of Brighton, Colorado and Fred (Jeanetta) Heffley of Eureka, Montana and sister Fay (Vernon) Leinweber of Erie, Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandchild; Andrew P. Dean, and a niece; Olivia Luff.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 11 am in the Sage Street LDS Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston from 6 to 8 pm. There will also be a viewing one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at the Evanston City Cemetery.
