Shannon Lynette Wright

Shannon Lynette Wright, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away in her sleep on March 6, 2025, at the age of 71 in Oakley. Born on June 7, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was the daughter of Elman Lawrence "Larry" and Daphne (Edgel) Child.

Shannon graduated from Granite High School and found her soulmate in Boyd Wright, whom she married on August 23, 1982. Together, they shared a beautiful life filled with love and adventure for over 42 years.

Shannon had a passion for life; she enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, gambling, and taking cruises. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her devoted husband and beloved family.

She is survived by her husband, Boyd; her son Rustin and daughter-in-law Amy Crawford; step-children Eden Vasquez and Greeley Wright; as well as 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Sheldon and Dave Child.

A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date, honoring Shannon's remarkable journey and the love she brought to all who knew her.
