Shana Mae Muir Vernon
Shana Vernon, 82, of Woodruff, Utah, passed away surrounded by family on October 30, 2016 in Evanston, WY.
Mom was born October 4, 1934 in Ogden, UT to Lawrence and Orrie Muir. She was the youngest child with three older brothers.
She married Ken Vernon on September 29, 1954 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Mom loved arrowhead hunting, puzzles, oil painting and being in the outdoors. Mom was always active in her LDS ward and held many church callings. Her favorite was being a nursery leader.
She was always happy, loved everyone and greeted all with a hug. Her laugh filled the room. In all our years, we never remember Mom being angry at anyone.
Shana is survived by her husband Ken, her four children, Kayleen (Rick) Argyle of Randolph, UT; Sandra (Doug) Matthews of Evanston, WY; Diane (Carl) Johnson of Monroe, UT and Larry Vernon of Woodruff, Utah. Larell David Muir is her only surviving brother. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Wendell Muir and Grant Muir, and one grandson, Jeremy Matthews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Arango and the staff at the Evanston Regional Hospital Emergency Room for their professionalism, caring, and understanding.
