Sarah Jeanette Brown Robinson passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Evanston Regional Hospital in Evanston, Wyoming at the age of 92. She was born on October 23, 1919 in Randolph, Utah, the daughter of William Ezra and Jeanette Pauline (Nielson) Brown. She met her eternal sweetheart, George LeRoy Robinson, married in Randolph, Utah on July 18, 1940; and honeymooned in the Uinta Mountains herding sheep. They moved to Evanston, Wyoming where Dad worked for the Union Pacific Railroad Plant. She cleaned houses, sold greeting cards, and Avon to bring money in their home. They raised three children, Shane, Jim and Alice. They were later married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 26, 1957.
She went to work for the Wyoming State Hospital, and loved to travel the U.S. with her best friend, Darlene Faddis. She would always meet Dad at the door with open arms and a kiss every day after work.
She went to work at Maverick, WalMart, to have something to do after retirement. She would call grandchildren; great grandchildren, sons, and daughter for their birthdays and sing Happy Birthday to them.
She loved to cook, knit, crochet, make clothing, needlework, canning of food for the winter.
She was President of the MIA womens, and served faithfully in many callings in the church. She taught 4-H, helped Dad on the Evanston Cowboy’s Day’s and loved taking the Queen’s around the country. She was a member of the Daughter’s of Utah Pioneer’s; and a member of Nobis Club.
She is survived by her sons; Shane L. (Corrie) Robinson, of Yuma, CO.; George J. (Margie) Robinson, of Green River, WY.; daughter, Alice Hughes, of Evanston, WY.; sisters; Bernice (Karol) Warner, Coalville, UT.; Delora Bateman, Kemmerer, WY. She is survived by 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Crandall Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until 1:45P.M. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. at Crandall Funeral Home. Interment will follow services at the Evanston City Cemetery.
