Sandra Wilde

August 15, 1942 — December 5, 2019

Oakley, Utah

Mom was born August 15, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Franklin J. and Alice V. Casper.

Mom grew up spending time in Charleston and Oakley on her grandparent’s ranch & farm. She loved spending time with them, riding horses and helping out each family. She met dad and dated, and later married on January 22, 1960. Together they had four children. They lived on the Bill Stevens ranch until moving into town, where later they purchased Kamas Valley Pack and put a new house on it. Later, they divorced.

Mom went to work at Morton Thyokol transporting Russian inspectors, she really enjoyed doing that. She then went to work for Lewis Brothers Stages doing dispatch and transportation. Years  later she went to the Oakley school where she transported the kids to all their appointments; she later retired.

Mom devoted her time going to all the rodeos with her kids and grandkids. She loved spending time outdoors, riding horses, and later working in her yard. In her younger years, mom taught 4-H horsemanship to many kids in Oakley and truly loved it. Mom also enjoyed playing softball for many years.

Mom was a member is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked in the library with her good friend, Peggy Wilde. Peggy and mom enjoyed sharing good times and stories.

The family would like to thank all those who helped take care of mom during her short battle with cancer. Thank you to her loving neighbors who helped her out over the years, she loved and appreciated all of you.

Mom is survived Sonja (Allen) Knight, Fruitland; Clint (Kerri) Wilde, Wanship; Shelda Wilde, Hurricane; and Casey (Jodie) Wilde, Francis. She has seven grandchildren: Victoria (Cody) Horrocks, Colter (Jessi) Knight, J.W. Knight, Cagnie (Dallas) Schumann, Kendell Wilde, Ty Argyle, McKenzie and McKayla Wilde; Five great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Mary) Casper; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.

A visitation will be held Monday morning from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the Peoa Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; a graveside services for Sandra will follow in the Oakley Cemetery, 5476 N 1000 W, Oakley, UT 84055.
