Sandra S. Denson

Sandra Denson, age 88, left our world in Mesquite, Nevada on December 6, 2024. She was a devoted Wife, loving Mother, proud MomMom, GG, sister and cherished friend to many.

Born in Whaleyville, Maryland on October 16, 1936, she was the eldest of four siblings, Jack Jones, Skipper Jones and Dennis Jones, born to Orville Harris Jones and Elizabeth Jones.

Sandra graduated from Buckingham High School and Salisbury State Teacher’s College.

Sandra’s travels with her husband and his work took her all over the world (Brazil, Thailand, Bahia, China and Malaysia), where she met and cherished so many friends that she kept in close contact with over the decades.

Sandra’s greatest accomplishment was her family. Her special relationships with her daughters will forever remain in their hearts. Her crazy relationships with her grandchildren will forever be great memories for them, bringing them lots of laughter and joy.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Jack, her daughters, Donna Rae (David) Shearer and Mary Kim Bateman, her grandchildren, Jack (Robin) Shearer, Christopher Shearer, Zac Bateman, Cody (Lori) Bateman, Bradley (Julie) Bateman, Jessica (Nic) Green, Tiffany (Matt) Windley, her brother, Dennis (Cindy Jones), her niece, Sandy (BJ) Jones, her nephew, Aiden Jones, 10 great grandchildren, her favorite canine, Mandy Sue, and her lifetime besties, Ina Rae Foskey and Amanda Steen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville Harris Jones and Elizabeth Jones, her brothers, Skipper and Jack Jones and her son-in-law, Robert Brent Bateman.

Her Funeral Service will be on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, Wyoming. Interment will be at the Evanston City Cemetery at a date to be determined.

Mom’s love for her husband, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and lifetime friends is her legacy to those of us left behind. Rest in peace. We love you.
