Our loss, Heaven’s gain. Our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend Rose Marie Hutchinson Harrison departed this world surrounded by family in her home in Golden Valley, Arizona on June 19, 2023 after a brief illness. She will be dearly missed. Born October 27 1951 to Lazell (Hutchinson) Moore and Robert Hutchinson, Rose was 72 years old at the time of her passing. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, KaDell J “Harry” Harrison of Golden Valley, AZ and children Nathan Harrison of Oklahoma City, OK, Jennifer Kennerley (Jon Kennerley) of Belmont, NC and Jackie Harrison of Golden Valley, AZ. Rose was a devoted grandmother to grandchildren Dylan Harrison, Brendan Lowry, KaDee Harrison and David McNail-Harrison, as well as a beneficent sister to brothers Mike Hutchinson and Doug Hutchinson. She is preceded in death by her parents Bonnie Lazell Moore and Robert Hutchinson and by her sister Julie Hutchinson.
Rose was a prolific crafter and compiler of bits and bobs. She leaves behind countless, incomprehensible WIPS and the daunting task of going through it all. Being a first-born, she was bossy as hell, as her children and siblings can attest. She often said that she didn’t know how she and her husband Harry managed to get along, both being first-borns in their respective families. But Rose and Harry had an unshakeable bond that carried them through 49 years of marriage, 3 children and 4 grandchildren determined to turn her hair white as snow. And we accomplished it! Bossy she may have been, but we all turned to her for comfort, advice and guidance.
Public viewing will begin Thursday June 29, 2023 at 6:00 pm MST at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, WY. We will be honoring Rose’s memory with a graveside service at Fort Bridger Cemetery on Friday June 30, 2023 at 11:00 am MST, immediately followed by a luncheon at the American Legion Hall in Fort Bridger, WY. Pallbearers will be Harry Harrison, Mike Hutchinson, Jon Kennerley, Nathan Harrison, Brendan Lowry and Dylan Harrison, with Honorary Pallbearer David Harrison. Please join us in celebrating the life of our rare and precious Rose.
