Ronald Clyde Walker of Lyman (Urie) passed away on November 5, 2016 at his home at the age of 86. He was born July 21, 1930 to Clyde Daniel and Ruby Rollins Walker. His home was on the family ranch south of Urie. This was where he married his sweetheart Edith Louise Bluemel on October 18, 1948 and also where they raised their family together.

Bobette Hopkinson and Elaine Evans, grandson Elijah and daughter in law Patty, he leaves behind a legacy of devoted family members. He is survived by Ronald L. (Sandy), Garth (Ellen), Mark (Nikki), LouAnn (Samasoni) Magalogo, Clair, and Neal (Sallee), 38 grandchildren and over 50 great grandchildren.
Ronald was a lifetime rancher and enjoyed working alongside his children and grandchildren. For a time, Ronald was also the Transportation Director for the Lyman School District. He drove students all over the state to their activities and made lasting friendships in every town.
Watching his grandchildren perform and supporting their activities was very important to him. He took great pleasure in their accomplishments and he was thrilled with the talents of the up and coming generation of great grandchildren whom he loved as well.
He served in the community on various boards including Bridger Valley Water Conservancy District, Blacks Fork Canal Company, Militch Ditch Company, and the Bridger Valley Wool and Lamb Pool.
He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served as Bishop, Stake President of the Green River and Lyman, Wyoming Stakes, and was a Regional Representative of the Church in Woods Cross-Rock Springs region. He and his sweetheart served in the Palmyra New York Mission at church historical sites there. He was also a sealer in the Ogden Temple. While serving in the Ogden Temple, Ronald and Louise spent time between their home in Syracuse, Utah and the family ranch in the Bridger Valley. He enjoyed the opportunity of growing a garden and sharing with his many friends and neighbors. Many lasting friendships were made during their time in northern Utah.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 8th from 6-8 p.m. at the Lyman,
Wyoming Stake Center, in Urie, Wyoming, and then again on Wednesday, November 9th at 9:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at the Lyman Stake Center. O
