Robyn Jean Sorenson (March 12, 1959 - March 5, 2025)

Our loving wife, mother and Grandma passed away peacefully after courageously completing her journey with early onset Alzheimer’s.

Robyn lived a life full of love. She dedicated her time, energy and attention to her family and grandkids, who were her everything. She loved being a wife and eternal companion to Rod, who nobly supported and loved her to the very end.

Robyn had many skills that she was able to share with others, including her love for sewing, music and gardening. Robyn was a true homemaker, making her home a gathering place for all to feel safe, welcomed, and loved.

Robyn played an active role in the community, dedicating time and effort to town celebrations, service projects, and events.

Robyn had a strong testimony of the gospel, and a deep love for the Savior, which helped her through many trials in life. She instilled a love of the gospel to her children, making sure they always left the house with a “remember who you are.” Robyn had the opportunity to go to the temple with each of her children, which brought her much joy and peace.

Robyn epitomized Christlike love and service, and never missed a chance to minister to those around her, including family, friends, and neighbors. She served in many callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and provided dedicated support to Rod as he served in his various callings. She was particularly proud to serve with Rod as a Temple Square Events Church Service Missionary — providing hours of service during conference and other church events.

Robyn is survived by her husband Rodney Sorenson, her children Cami Dunbar (Jake), Chari Larsen (Jordan), Coby Sorenson, Carli Thornton (Cody) and her grandchildren Ethan Dunbar, Natalee Dunbar, Hazel Thornton, Lily Larsen, Josie Thornton, and McCoy Thornton. Siblings Shelly (Alan) Sorensen, Craig (Kena) Rydalch, Mark (Amy) Rydalch. She is proceeded in death by her parents Robert and Jean Rydalch and in-laws Lloyd and Betty Sorenson.

The family would like to thank Kara and Maryann with Enhabit Health, along with the close family members and neighbors who helped, cared for, and loved her.
