Rickie D. Crompton, 65, of Evanston passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 surrounded by family and friends in the comfort of his own home.
He was born June 12, 1954 in Evanston, the son of George E. Crompton and Dorothy Lamb Crompton; the last of four children. He has a twin sister, Vickie; a brother, Jay and a sister Bonnie.
He loved hunting, rock hunting, camping, being out in the desert, the mountains and anywhere else as long as it was outside with his family or alone.
He married Elizabeth Defa February 22, 1975. Together they had two children, Ryan and Spring.
Rick is survived by his wife, Liz Defa Crompton; his son, Ryan (Stacy) Crompton; grandchildren, Jesse (Hayden) Ezell, Kyler Crompton, Brookell Crompton, Karli Crompton; great grandson, Bricen Ezell; daughter, Spring (James) Turner; grandchildren, Mackala Turner, Hannah Turner, Tanner Turner, and Chandin Turner; great granddaughter, Makynzleigh; brother, Jay (Elsie) Crompton; and sisters, Bonnie (Jim) Davis and Vickie (Ray) Fruits.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George E. Crompton and Dorothy Lamb Crompton; his in-laws, Johnnie and Betty Defa; his unborn infant child in 1978; his grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
Rick’s wishes were to be cremated and for no services to be held.
