Richard Thomas “Tom” Wharton passed away at his home in Kamas, Utah at the age of 64.
He was born on March 3, 1949 in Boston, Mass to Richard Thomas Wharton and Mara diZoppola Wharton.
He had a bachelor degree from Princeton University. Tom was a producer of independent films and worked in the Salt Lake area in that industry. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed working as a river guide in the Moab area on the Colorado river.
He is survived by his sisters, Stephanie Holbrook of San Francisco, Ca and Lucie Wharton of Santa Rosa, Ca. Nieces: Tania Holbrook and her husband Bruce Croft of Kamas, Ut and Sandy Holbrook and her husband Geoffrey James of Sausalito, Ca. And great nieces, Daphne and Lucie James.
