Richard L. Moranville passed away in Evanston on Wednesday December 9, 2015.
He was born on October 20, 1935 in Hemingford, Nebraska to George Howard Moranville and Nellie E. Newell (Moranville). Earl Bateman was his Step-Father, they were very close.
He joined the Merchant Marines at a young age and has been with them, until his retirement.
He married Barbara Hennen (Moranville), she preceded him in death.
He graduated from Masters, Mates, and Pilots, he was the captain of the ship and vessel.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and loved all animals such as horses and his beloved Labs.
Richard was very dedicated Veteran to the Freedom of our Country.
He is survived by, two sons, Mark (Bea) Moranville and David Moranville, Step-sister, Mary Firth, his extended family, the Richins and the Kallas family, also his beloved yellow lab, Jewels.
He is preceded in death by a son, Michael Moranville, a brother, Rolland Moranville, and also his parents, grandparents and great grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at the Crandall Funeral Home on December 18, 2015 at 12:00 noon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 Am to 11:45 Am.
Interment will be in the Evanston City Cemetery.
