Richard Errol Lind, 77, passed away in Heber City, Utah on February 11, 2017.  He was born on June 9, 1939 in Lynn, Box Elder County, Utah to Vance Otto and Vida (Hansen) Lind.
He married Sonya Hale on June 9, 1967 in.  They later divorced.
Richard was a very caring man who had pride in helping others.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served a mission in Sweden, which his Companions said he was one of the most successful missionaries.  He later enjoyed teaching Seminary. Richard loved to share the gospel with anyone that would listen. He excelled at sports and played college football and basketball where he was named all state athletes.          . He enjoyed road trips, camping, gardening, and art. He filled his free time beautifying his yard with trees and flowers which gave him a lot of joy.  He was a character who loved to make people smile and laugh even up until the end. He was a successful General Contractor building homes all over the Salt Lake Valley. He was a great and hard worker and never wanted to stop working
He is survived by his children, Eric Lind and Danelle Lind, Lisa Higgins, Lara (Christopher) Miller, Jana (Wayne) Gough and.  Also 12  grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Vance and Vida Lind, and brothers, Gerald, Gordon, David And Sisters Marilyn, Janice.
A viewing will be held at the Crandall Funeral Home, 105 East Center Street in Kamas, Ut on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m. Graveside services will follow in the Brigham City Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
