Richard Atkins

Richard Duane Atkins Jr., 61, died at Salt Lake Regional Hospital, on April 2, 2012.  He was born to Richard and Dorothy Atkins on September 17, 1950 in Syracuse, NY.  He married Cindy Campbell on October 19, 1990 in Jackson, WY.
Richard was a pipefitter by trade and moved from the East to Wyoming just so he could enjoy the mountains and outdoors.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children; Natalie Lucero, Nicol Jacobson, Paden Atkins, Kohy Atkins, and Ocean Gross; two grandchildren, Jase and Jax Jacobson.  He is also survived by his father, Richard,  sisters, Roxanna Powell, Jalna Owen, Eliza Macy; and a brother, Mark Burdick Atkins, and 10 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorthy Jane Burdick Atkins.
A memorial service will be held to honor his life on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Full Faith Assembly Church in Mt. View, Wyoming. 2507 Hwy 410.  Interment at the Ft. Bridger Cemetery will follow services.
A luncheon will be provided at the Ft. Bridger Legion Hall following graveside services.
