Richard Anson

March 7, 1942 — May 4, 2015

Richard Curtis Anson, 73, passed away at Ogden Regional Hospital in Ogden, Utah on Monday, May 4, 2015.  He was born March 7, 1942 in Mountain View, Wyoming to John and Blanche Anson.

Richard joined the US Army after high school and served his country, he was honorably discharged in 1964.  Coming home he married Betty Lou Powers and to that union was born Tony, Monica, and Vicki. After their divorce he married Debby Lynn Howe in November of 1977. To this union was born Matthew, Adam, and Josh.

He began work with Allied Chemical in 1968 and retired in 2008 after 40 years of service.

Richard’s hobbies included fly fishing, camping, hunting, golfing, and bowling.  He enjoyed coaching youth sports, hollering at referees and volunteered with the Lyman Fire Department for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife Debby; children Tony Anson, Monica Anson Streeter, Vicki Anson Wallace, Matthew (Tia) Anson, Adam Anson, and Joshua (Jessica) Anson;  8 grandchildren Kelsie, Ben, Alexis, Hannah, Sarah, Luke, Becca Lynn, McKinley and sisters Pat Sims and Kaye Behunin.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Blanche Anson; brothers John and Leslie Anson, sister Elaine Anson Youngberg and Step Father Jack Hamblin.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 1 pm at the Lyman LDS ward chapel in Lyman, Wyoming.  A viewing will be held from 12 pm to 12:45 pm prior to the service.  Interment will follow at the Ft. Bridger Cemetery.
