Ray Orton

Ray J Orton was the 2nd of twins born at St. Benedict’s Hospital in Ogden, UT. He was the son, and 1 of seven children, to Howard and Leona Orton. He took his last breath at University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah surrounded by family.
> Ray grew up in North Odgen and graduated in 1974 from Weber High School. He eventually relocated and made his home in Evanston, Wyoming. In 1986 he met Gloria Gil. Together they raised 3 children Jenniey, Rex, and Rosemary. They officially married on January 3, 1996.
> Ray was a jack of all trades. He spent the majority of his career in Security and then as a Traffic Control Supervisor. Ray also had many hobbies and interests. He took his family camping, fishing, and hunting. He loved to read, listen to music, garden, woodwork, arts and crafts, and spend time with his 4 grandkids, Isabelle Myia Wilson, Deakin Rex Shay Wilson, Kelton Eugene Simkins, and Angel Leigh Simkins.
> Ray is survived by his wife, Gloria Gil Orton and his children; Jennifer Wilson, Rex Gil, and Rosemary Gil Simkins. He is also survived by his mom, Janette Leona Orton and brothers and sisters; Kathreen Orton Manos, his twin brother Jay Orton, Lucy Orton Hall, LouAnn Orton Fisk, and Kelly Orton.
> He is preceded in death by his dad, Joseph Howard Orton, his sister Debra Lee Orton, and his brother, James “Big Jim” Orton.
> Ray was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at the LDS church located on 251 Elm St. in Evanston, Wyoming.
