Phyllis Ann (Morton) Shahan, 78, got to meet her heavenly Father on September 19, 2021.
She was born in Atlas, Oklahoma on March 15, 1943 to William Zolly and Golda Marie (Westbrook) Morton.
She married “the boy next door”, Allen Eugene Shahan, in Carlsbad, New Mexico on October 20, 1962. They were looking forward to celebrating 59 years in love, next month.
Phyllis was a beautiful woman inside and out and was a shining light for Jesus everywhere she went. She loved everyone she met. Her love for cooking and baking was shared with the community of Evanston for several years through her restaurant “The Lil’ Red Hen.” She was an artist by nature, she loved drawing and painting as well as writing poetry. But her proudest accomplishment was her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Allen, her children: Stephen (Karen) Shahan of Clinton, Utah, Brett (Stephanie) Shahan of Evanston, Wyoming and Jeffery (Amanda) Shahan of Greeley, Colorado and her brother Ronald (Nina) Morton of Garland, Texas.
Through her three boys and her brother, she was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one niece, three nephews and several great nieces and nephews, whom she loved so dearly.
She is preceded in death by, her father William Morton and her mother Golda (Westbrook) Morton.
