Paul Ernest Digerness, passed away September 18, 2015 at the Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on November 16, 1932 in Boulder, Colorado the son of Roscoe William and Flora E. (Beals) Digerness.
Paul served his country in the Air Force, during the Korean War.
He married Jane Marie Dawson on June 3, 1952 in Boulder, Colorado. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan L.D.S. Temple on February 11, 1964.
He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in various assignments through the years. Serving in the Ogden Temple 1998-2000 was a highlight of his life. Paul loved helping others. He enjoyed the outdoors, target shooting and spending time with family, especially in the mountains and forests. Paul enjoyed (&fed) the deer that came in the yard on winter nights, and the birds that came year round. He served as a volunteer E.M.T. in Rich county for several years, volunteer at Evanston Regional Hospital for six years, and helped start the Rich County Patrol which later became the Search and Rescue Group.
He is survived by his wife Jane D. Digerness of Randolph, Utah; daughter: Karen D. (Randy) Garrett of West Valley, Utah; Tim A. Digerness of Rogersville, Tenn; and Eric M. (Cindi) Digerness of Parachute, Colorado; Sister: Sarah D. Brink of West Richland, Wa; a sister-in-law, Nancy D. Wurl of Windsor, Colorado; also 15 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and infant sister Judy Digerness.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 12:00 noon in the Randolph L.D.S. Ward Chapel. Viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.
Interment with military honors will follow in the Randolph Cemetery
