Oretha Dunn

Oretha Mae Dunn, 79, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at home while surrounded by family and friends.  She was born September 20, 1931 in Mobley, Arkansas, to Alvis and Maggie Loy Lewallen.
Oretha married Robert Bates Dunn in Arkansas, December of 1948, and together raised seven children.
Oretha loved being a crossing guard and working alongside her husband of 50 years doing landscaping work.  They maintained a 1 acre vegetable garden, canning the vegetables each year and always sharing with love to friends and neighbors.
She was a member of the Calvary Fellowship Baptist Church, and a member of the Tops Club.
Oretha is survived by her son, Stan Dunn of Rockaway Beach, MO; daughters, Patricia Fargo of Rockaway Beach, MO; Jeannie Queenen of Forsyth, MO; Pamela Damron of Evanston, WY; Carolyn Holden of Yuba City, CA; 29 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; one sister Freda Steelman of Oliverhurst, CA.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, two sons, Chris Dunn; Mike Dunn; Parents, 2 brothers, 3 grandchildren.
Cremation will take place and her remains will be laid to rest next to her husband in Marysville, CA at a later date.
