Oren C. McFadden, age 71 passed away quietly at home on November 11, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on April 14, 1941 in Laramie, Wyoming, to Walter Burt and Bessie McFadden. He married Barbara Jeane Aaron on September 18, 1976. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.
Oren was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served as a Scout Leader, Young Men’s Advisor, and a High Priest Quorum Counselor, among other callings. For nearly twenty five years, Oren worked for Mountain Bell and AT&T, first as a lineman and then as a Systems Tech. He later established Tel Tech Systems, which he owned and operated. Oren proudly served in the United States National Guard.
Oren enjoyed membership on the Uinta County Museum Board and helping at the Lord’s Storehouse. He loved his die cast cars and he loved to fish. His passion later in life was writing, and in 2010 he published a book of poetry entitled From the Park Bench.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, a son, Sean A. McFadden, and daughters, Amanda J. McFadden, Cherylynn E. McFadden, and Patricia (Donald) Ryall, and four grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Oren was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothe, Mac.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, WY. A viewing will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again one hour prior to services. Intement will follow in the Evanston Cemetery, Evanston, WY.
