Olen Thompson

Olen E. Thompson, 85, passed away on April 12, 2014, in Francis, Utah with his loving wife by his side.
He was born on March 3, 1929, in Qualls, OK to Allie Fields and Martha Ann (Faddis) Thompson. He married Dixie Jean McNeil on February 25, 1960, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He devoted his life to loving and providing for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie, of Francis, UT; sons: Jerry (Verna) Pea Ridge, AR; Jeff Huntsville, AR; Terry (Rhonda) Oakley, UT; Johnny (Konni) Oakley, UT; Sheldon (Jody) Francis, UT; and daughter Tresa Martin, Delta, UT; 21 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a sister, Ireva (Bob) Winner, Huntsville, AR.
He is preceded in death by parents, two infant children, six brothers, and two sisters.
Heartfelt gratitude goes out to the hospice caregivers Audrey Stembridge and Brittany Atkinson and volunteers Della Stevens and Beth for the loving comfort and care given to Dad.
The funeral service will be in the Francis LDS Church at 387 W. Last Frontier Ln., Francis, on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on
Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Francis Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas.
