Nadine Crompton

October 21, 1943 — April 24, 2013

Nadine Crompton, passed away at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.

She was born October 21, 1943 in Ogden, Utah to Udell and Maxine Champneys.  She married her High School sweetheart, Jim Crompton in July of 1961.


Nadine was a member of the Episcopal Church for over 50 years. She taught Sunday school, was in the choir, served on the Vestry and was a member of the Altar Guild.  She was also a 4H leader and a leader in the Boy Scouts.  She taught for 15 years in the GED program and enjoyed the success of many students.  She loved Indian artifacts, turquoise jewelry, photography, painting, music, family history, her dogs, playing cards, reading, going on picnics, and above all, spending time with her friends and family.

Nadine is survived by her husband, Jim; her two children, Monica (Todd) Bennett, and Marc (Jerri) Crompton.  She is also survived by two granddaughters, Bailey and Morgan.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at the Episcopal Church in Evanston on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 1 pm.  Interment will follow at the Evanston City Cemetery.  A viewing will be held at Crandall Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6-8 pm.
