Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 23, 2013.
She was born on August 16, 1937 to Clayne and Juanita (Kirkham) VanTassell.
Mom had a love for animals and a love for the farming lifestyle. She was an avid lover of horses and was a member of the Kamas Valley Riding Club. Some of her fondest memories were riding on the forest and bringing home the cattle. The trail has finally led her home. Grammy will be missed by all.
She is survived by her children: Todd (ZoeAnn) Holton, of Francis; Robin (Jeff) Hisler of Heber; Ronda (Gordon) Mondragon of Kamas; and Tassie (Jason) Williams of Kamas. Also a brother, Ray (Linda) VanTassell of Morgan, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She is preceded by her son Clay Holton and her parents, Clayne and Juanita VanTassell.
Family expresses special thanks to Ben Holton and Charlee Mondragon and the staff of Rocky Mountain Care Center for their love and kindness.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Francis LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the church Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Francis Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
