Myrla Page Snyder (December 18, 1932-November 16, 2016)
Myrla Page Snyder passed away Wednesday November 16, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children Wanda (Randy) Smith, Tom Snyder, Dana (Mike) Morgan, Jim (Liz-Deceased) Snyder, 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren who all love her very much and cherish fond memories of her. Myrla is preceded in death by her parents (Lafe and Lila Page), two brothers, a daughter-in-law, one great-grand-child, and the love of her life Lindon Earl Snyder.
In addition to being a wonderful home maker, wife, mother, and grandmother, professionally Myrla served as Director of Food Services at South Summit School District for many years and after retiring, she served as Kitchen Manager for Treasure Mountain Middle School in the Park City School District. In her role in Food Services she is remembered by many as the nice lunch lady who made you feel special and could always be talked into second helpings.
Myrla was always planning family reunions and parties. She loved enjoying the company of family and friends around her. She was a phenomenal cook and always made sure we were always well fed even if we had just stopping by for a few minutes. It was her way of showing her love. She was famous for her barn burner breakfast, puffed rice balls at Halloween, and homemade chicken noodle soup with homemade bread.
She has rejoined the love of her life and eternal partner, Lindon Earl Snyder, whom she married on December 2nd, 1949. Their marriage was later solemnized at the Jordan River LDS Temple on December 2nd 1989. Their reunion, long-awaited, is surely a sweet one as Snyd and Schatzi are together again. That smack on the lips must surely continue to echo across heaven today. We will miss her sass, the mischievous sparkle in her eye, spunk, and love. But we are so happy to know that they are together again. Until we meet again Mom please know we all love you.
As a family we would like to express gratitude to the wonderful neighbors of the Kamas Valley for the friendships over the many years. To Dr. Gregg Tayler and Staff at the Heber Valley Medical Center, to the many Doctors and Staff of the Wasatch County IHC Hospital along with the amazing Doctors and Staff of the Timpanogos Mountain Star Hospital ICU Unit in Orem. You are truly amazing professionals. Thank you!!!
