Murlin Vantassell

April 8, 1928 — February 15, 2014

Murlin J. VanTassell passed away February 15, 2014 in Springville, Utah.
He was born on April 8, 1928 in Francis, Utah to Clyde J. and Ethel (Prescott) VanTassell.

He married Gwen Woolstenhulme in 1955.  She preceded him in death.

He later married DeeAnn Pyne in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 19, 1959.

Murlin was a member of the LDS Church and served a mission in the Denver, Colorado Mission.  He enjoyed working on his farm, all sports including hunting, riding ATV’s and more than anything, spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife DeeAnn of Kamas; Sons, Larry (Debra) VanTassell of Lincoln, Nebraska; Kevin (Shelley) VanTassell of Springville; and Dylan VanTassell of Kamas.
Daughters: Kathy (Tom) Dudley of Vernal; and Shayla VanTassell of Kamas.
11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gwen; a grandson, Jason;  his twin brother Morlin, and brothers Jim, Clayne, Gail, and Don.  Sisters Norma and Iona

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 in the Kamas L.D.S Chapel  at 1:00 p.m.   Friends may  call at the church from 11 a.m. til 12:45 p.m
Interment will follow in the  Francis Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas.
