Monte Max Bullocks, passed away at his home in Lyman, Wyoming on Saturday, November 26, 2016. He leaves behind his loving wife Blanca Ines Izquierdo Bullocks; his son Michael Bullocks; his daughters Carolina Montoya, and Madeline Marchisio.
Monte was born on December 9, 1944 to Max and Nora Bullocks in Kemmerer, Wyoming. After graduating high school, Monte served his country by joining the US Army. He settled in Rocksprings, Wyoming after being discharged from the military. He worked for General Chemical in the maintenance department for many years and then in 1977 moved to Lyman, Wyoming. Monte Married Blanca Ines Izquierdo in May of 2002 in Dagua, Valle, Colombia.
Monte was an avid outdoorsman and loved to camp, hunt and fish. He was an amazing coach and taught kids of all ages, baseball, swimming, football, and his passion, wrestling. He coached his son to a number of state championships in wrestling, and his knowledge and patients for the sport made him a great coach that so many admired. He was always active in his kids sporting events and with patience and kindness supported them always. He will be truly missed by all those who knew him.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home of Evanston, Wyoming. A memorial mass will be held at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Fort Bridger, Wyoming on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 12 noon. His remains will be taken to Colombia and interred in Basilica Del Senor De Los Milagros, Catholic Church.
